If you contact an overhead power line with your body or indirectly through a ladder or tool, you may be seriously injured or killed.

Before you begin any digging, blasting or excavation work, you must call one of these numbers to locate the lines:

Calling before you begin work ensures that underground utilities - including electrical and natural gas lines - will be marked so you can work safely.

Marking utilities helps prevent personal injuries that could result if an underground line is broken.

Workers using jackhammers or hand tools that may contact an underground line should wear protective insulated gloves.
